Rooted in Earth.
Designed for Rest.

Our philosophy weaves together ancient terracotta traditions with contemporary sage wisdom to create spaces of genuine restoration.

OUR BEGINNINGS

Crafted from the ground up.

RootedRest began in a small sunlit studio in Northern California when founder Elena Voss returned from a year of living among terracotta artisans in the Mediterranean. What started as a personal search for deeper rest evolved into an invitation for others to reconnect with the earth's natural rhythms.

In 2014 we opened our first workshop, hand-throwing clay vessels and weaving linen bedding that honored the simple, grounding principles of nature.

THE MISSION

Rest as a radical act of connection.

Regenerative Materials

Every product is sourced from farms and studios that regenerate the soil they depend on.

Ancestral Wisdom

We blend Mediterranean terracotta and Native plant knowledge to honor timeless rest practices.

Lasting Impact

10% of each sale supports reforestation projects in sagebrush ecosystems.

EARTHY PHILOSOPHY

The terracotta-sage way of rest.

Terracotta — Grounding Warmth

Warm, porous clay draws excess moisture while radiating gentle heat. Our signature vessels and tiles anchor your space in calm stability.

Sage — Clear Intention

Fresh and herbaceous sage brings clarity and purification. Every linen and mattress topper is naturally infused to invite deep restoration.
